Happy Easter!

This weekend we went to egg hunts at the Zoo and at a park on Mercer Island (that one was chaos- the whole thing was over in about 3 minutes; Z will need to train before next year’s event- or at least learn some defensive moves). Z is a pro egg hunter now and was thrilled to find the eggs the Easter Bunny had left for her this morning.

Mercer Island Egg Hunt:

Easter morning (and Z’s new “cheeeeeeese” face…):

Snowflake Lane

We took Zoey to Snowflake Lane– they shut down a couple blocks outside of a mall in Bellevue for a nightly Christmas show. They have drummers, dancers, characters walking around handing out lollipops, music, and fake snow. What’s not to love?!

This face says it all:

Meeting Santa

Zoey was totally fine with Santa… until suddenly he wanted her to sit on his lap. To avoid a case of stage fright Dad held her and we snapped these pics. Mercer Island had a Christmas festival that started with a tree lighting outside then followed with a party in the firehouse. The firemen made chili and there were vendors with treats and a band. Very cute!

Halloween

Oops! I’ve fallen behind on Z pics. Here are some from Halloween. Z loved trick or treating. Hardest part was explaining that we can’t do it everyday. She did well at ringing the doorbell and saying thank you… actually saying trick or treat was only about half the time :).

Apple picking

We went apple picking with some friends. Not many apples left but Z got to pick a couple from the tree plus pet their baby goats. Then we came home and made apple crisp (though we ended up buying most of the apples from the grocery store!).

Library+

The best smile to wake up to:

After breakfast we checked out the local library. They have a program for young kids with 30 minutes of playtime with various toys, storytime and songs for 30 minutes, and then art for 30 minutes. All free and very fun.  Then we hit the playground to round it out.

Now lunch!
